Randy Smith (owner-operator). Randy has worked for the Simon family for over 25 years. He worked for Dick Simon Trucking for 18 years. He was a company driver and one of the hardest runners that Dick employed. After Kelle started his company, Randy decided to come and drive for Kelle’s Transport. He was the 2nd driver that Kelle hired and the first owner-operator. The reason he has stayed with the Simon’s for so many years is because he feels they have both done a lot for each other. They are invested in each other’s lives. Randy also stated that Kelle has helped him in ways that no other trucking company would help an owner-operator. If he has needed something special outside of the job, Kelle has always done what he can to help. Most other companies would not go to the extent that Kelle has. He also feels there is a trust at Kelle’s Transport that he has not found anywhere else. He trusts everyone at Kelle’s Transport and they trust him. He really feels like this is a family here. He likes that Kelle will not run and hide when there is a problem. He is always willing to sit down and talk and try to work things out.

Louie Hernandez (company driver). Louie also started out working for Dick Simon Trucking. He began driving there is 1990. He also followed Kelle when he decided to start his own company and is one of the original drivers that started for Kelle’s Transport. He has been an over the road driver at Kelle’s since 2002. He has known the Simon family for 19 years. He stays with Kelle’s Transport because is always busy. He is in this business to make money and run miles and he is able to do that at Kelle’s Transport. He also states that Kelle is a good guy to work for. As long as you pick up and deliver on time you will not have any problems at Kelle’s.

Stan Steeves (company driver). Stan has worked with Kelle’s Transport for 3 years. He lives in Portland, OR and is a company driver. He was first attracted to Kelle’s Transport because it was a family run business with a family-like atmosphere. He also is able to run hard and get as many miles as he legally can. There is always enough freight to keep him busy. He also likes the fact that Kelle’s equipment is very new. He has had 2 trucks in his time here and both were new. He never has to worry about break-downs. Kelle’s trailers are also very nice. They are always well-maintained and have good tires.
