Kelle A. Simon

Founder and President
Kelle Simon started Kelle's Transport, Inc. in 2002 with only ambition and a lot of industry knowledge. Within eleven months and after many long days, Kelle was able to acquire 30 trucks and operate the company with consistent profitability each month. Three years latter, Kelle has increased its fleet to over 50 trucks and revenues exceeding six million.

Kelle has lived his entire life in the transportation and logistics industry. Born and raised in Utah, Kelle stared as a Mechanic and Technician for Dick Simon Trucking. He soon worked his way up the corporate ladder, becoming an owner operator 1983 and eventually taking the position as the Vice President of Maintenance and Purchasing where he stayed for 16 years. In 2000 the Board of Directors voted Kelle to be President of Dick Simon Trucking, Inc.

As Vice President of Maintenance and Purchasing, Kelle spearheaded many cost cutting programs, one of which was an effort to reduce costly truck idle time. This program focused on preventative maintenance and acquiring equipment with longer life cycles. Although such equipment came with a much higher price tag, it paid for itself in the reduced downtime.

When asked what the secret to his success is, Kelle comments "Treat your employees like they are your customers"

Karen Thorne

Safety and Human Resource Manager
Karen has been with Kelle's Transport Service, Inc. since the day it opened its doors. With responsibilities ranging from invoicing to customer relations, Karen is a key player in Kelle Transport's success. As the Human Resource Manager, she is in charge of Kelle's most important assets, its employees.

Karen notes that working with Kelle's drivers and customers is a joy. The hardworking yet relaxed environment is perfect for keeping her and the other employees happy.

TeJay Simon

Operations
TeJay is a strapping young man whose successes come from hard work and a sharp mind. Like many other Kelle Transport employees, TeJay worked with Dick Simon Trucking before starting with Kelle’s Transport Inc. During his more than two years with Kelle’s Transport, TeJay has been in charge of Dispatch, customer service, planning and operations. He notes that every day is a new challenge and that is why he loves his job.
