Mike Flores
At age 18 Mike sparked his career working as a union dispatch clerk for Southern CA's largest grocery chain. Working his way up the ladder, at age 24 became a Transportation Supervisor with a fleet of 300+ drivers, servicing over 250 retail locations. In 1996 Mike accepted a promotion in corporate traffic and was transferred to Salt Lake City UT. Continuing to climb the ladder Mike became a Corporate Buyer expanding his knowledge throughout the supply chain. Through acquisitions Mike landed in Operations as a Superintendent of Transportation. Mike spent a majority of his last 2 years at corporate headquarters in Boise ID, leading cost reduction projects and successfully building efficiencies across the Supply Chain. After 17 years Mike left the grocery firm and created Colt Logistics to work as an independent Supply Chain Consultant. Mike traveled across the nation working with private fleets, implementing cost reduction programs. Mike worked on distribution projects for one of the nation’s largest fast food suppliers, resulting in several million dollars in savings. While working on a project for a large Dairy Supplier the client offered Mike a position as Regional Director. Mike oversaw transportation, warehousing and sales for two distribution centers and retail locations across the West. During his 2.5 years Mike grew the operation and led his team from $2M to $5.5M in Backhaul Revenue. Mike brings strong principals in development, teambuilding and recognition, understanding even the best player can’t win the game alone. Mike also owes his success to his wife Janet for keeping a stable home life and always supporting his drive and dedication to his carrier. Mike and Janet have 3 beautiful girls Abbi, Jessica and Anna. Whenever possible they enjoy spending their family time at Flaming Gorge, boating and fishing. Julie Simon
Julie has been working for KTS since 2003. She does payroll, settlements, health insurance, payables and receivables. She enjoys working at KTS in part because she thinks that it has some of the best employees in the industry. She is also married to its founder and president. |
Chasade Simon
Chasade began her trucking career at just 14 years old working for Dick Simon Trucking. After Dick Simon she came to work for KTS. She has held various positions during her career in trucking, including dispatch and customer service. She currently is the billing manager at KTS. |
TeJay Simon
TeJay has been in the trucking industry for almost 15 years. Like many other KTS employees, TeJay worked with Dick Simon Trucking before starting with Kelle. During his more than six years with KTS, TeJay has been in charge of dispatch, customer service, planning and operations. He notes that every day is a new challenge and that is why he loves his job. |
Erin Moretti
Erin Moretti is the newest member to join the KTS team. Although she is new to working at KTS she is no stranger to the trucking industry. She got her first trucking job right out of high school and has been passionate about the industry ever since. She has been a dispatcher, planner and customer service representative. Currently she is working on getting the detention program up and running at KTS, manages a small fleet of trucks and assists in customer service. |
Cindy Salazar
Cincy has worked in the trucking industry for about 16 years. A majority of those years was with Dick Simon Trucking doing payroll for company drivers. Trucking is just in the blood and she’s excited to be back doing what she likes best with Kelle’s Transport. |
Shantelle Mears
Shantelle started out working on cars at the age of 12 and started drag racing by the age of 15. After graduating high school she started college part-time to begin a business degree while working full time as an Administrative Assistant for a Technology Company where she was promoted into a Project Coordinator for 4 years. She is excited to have ended up here at Kelle’s Transport and feels like part of the family here. She can see herself here down the road, contributing to future success and growth of Kelle’s Transport Services, Inc. |
Amy Johnson
Amy is new to Kelle’s Transport but came in very experienced. She started her career in trucking in 2001 when she started working for Gordon Trucking. She was one of two people who were dedicated enough to manage an account for one of Gordon’s most valued customers. She did everything from managing the customer, dispatching the trucks, planning the trucks and scheduling the appointments. In February of 2005, Amy got married and moved to Charleston, SC where she took a job for Averitt Express. She did many jobs there including office manager, customer service representative, OS&D clerk and scheduling. In June of 2005, her family moved back to Utah where she resumed working for Gordon Trucking as a driver manager. She managed between 60-65 trucks while she was there. In December of 2008 Amy began working for Kelle’s Transport. She is currently a driver manager. She loves working in the transportation industry because she grew up in it. Her father has been a truck driver for his entire life. She grew up around trucks. She also has a strong background in customer service which is needed when dealing with customers and drivers. She also notes that trucking is a challenge and everyday is different. |
Frank Ravarino
Frank has more than 40 years experience in different aspects of the transportation industry. In his early teen years he loaded, unloaded and delivered produce with his dad and grandfather. Later he owned a trucking company of his own for 20 years. He is proud to have worked at KTS since it opened its doors in 2002. Frank says that he has witnessed many changes in the industry. He takes pride in being knowledgeable in all aspects of temperature controlled freight. From knowing how to provide Kelle's customers with the service they expect and deserve to understanding the challenges that drivers face on the road everyday and knowing how to help them overcome obstacles. Frank has many hobbies. He enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, skiing, and riding ATVs. Outside of work he enjoys watching his 13-year-old son play football. He also enjoys spending time with his wife of 15 years. |
Keith Brown
Keith started for Dick Simon Trucking in 1987 working in the grease pit in the shop. He eventually moved up to become the Director of Parts and Warranty. He joined the KTS team when Kelle started his company approximately six years ago. He enjoys his job because he likes helping people. When someone has a problem his experience and expertise enables him to effectively solve their problems. |
Phil Smith
Phil as been in the trucking industry his entire career. He has worked with several companies including Dick Simon Trucking where he was Director of Safety. Phil is focused on making sure that Kelle's drivers are safe and compliant with the rules and regulations set up by the Department of Transportation (DOT). Phil's experience is a great asset to Kelle's drivers. He is always willing to help out with any safety questions anyone may have. |
Hans Vandemerwe
Dutch started working with Dick Simon Trucking in August, 1978, when Dick had just 14 trucks. He began working in the shop as a mechanic and doing body work. He worked his way up to shop foreman and eventually became Director of Maintenance. After he left Dick Simon Trucking he became an owner-operator and ran three trucks. He decided to get out of owning trucks and went to work for KTS. He is currently the shop foreman. He enjoys his job because it is a new adventure everyday. Nothing in trucking is ever the same. It is always changing. |
Corey Gallagher
Corey has been a mechanic sine he was 18 years old. He has worked in various shops including Wanship Trucking, Semi Service, Brent Brown Auto Mall, La Pointe Ford, Toyota & Dodge. Currently at Kelle’s Transport he is responsible for oil changes, trailer repair and qualcomm installation and repair. He enjoys working as a mechanic because he likes working on the trucks and also driving them. |
Brian Eves
Brian has worked for Kelle’s Transport and Dick Simon Trucking for most of his adult life. He began his trucking career working for CR England and Sapp Brothers, but in 1996 he transferred over to Dick Simon Trucking. He started as a service technician and at the end of his time there was a lead man. In 2003 he decided to come and work for Kelle’s Transport. He has always liked working for the Simon’s because they really treat their employees well. |
